The Panchalingeshwar Temple is located in Balasore district of Orissa. Panchalingeswar is 30 km from Balasore and 85 km from Baripada. It is situated on the Nilgiri Hills.There are regular transport facilities plying from Balasore and Baripada.You will see the natural water fall & hills around the aerie. So many visitor cams every yare .It is the best picnic place in India. It so named after the five Shivalinga that are enshrined inside temple is located on top of a hillock near the Nilagiri hill.The Shivalingas are said to have been defend by Sita,the wife of Lord Rama during the period of their exile while another story holds that it was King Banasura himself who worshipped the swayambhu lingas at this place given the beauty of the place.A perennial stream, which is the main attraction of the area repeatedly, washes the Shivalingas as it flows over them. To reach to the temple one has to lie flat on the rock parallel to the stream in order to touch and worship the lingas as these are inside water stream.

Lingaraj Temple of Bhubaneswar

Lingaraj Temple of BhubaneswarOne of the oldest temples of Bhubaneswar is Lingaraj Temple . Bhubaneswar the capital of Odisha is known as Temple city not only in India but all so in the world . The Lingaraj Temple is more than 1100 years old .The temple is traditionally believed, though without historical authentication, to be built by the Somavanshi king Jajati Keshari, in 11th century AD. Jajati Keshari had shifted his capital from Jajpur to Bhubaneswar which was referred to as Ekamra Kshetra in the Brahma Purana, an ancient scripture.

This 180 feet high grand temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered to be the finest example of purely Hindu style of temple architecture. The Lingaraj Temple has a jagamohana, natamandir, bhogamandapa and is surrounded by a massive 7 feet thick wall. The temple's spacious courtyard is filled with more than 100 shrines.

Lovely city with helpful people. Roads are clean & wide, no traffic jams, discipline traffic. The city being not too big, all areas are accessable with Food, sight-seeing and shopping.

Kapilash Temple

Kapilash TempleThe most famous place in Dekhanal is known as Kapilash Temple. It is designed by very beautifully on hilltop. The ideal of Shiva named Chandrashekhar possess Kapilash Temple.The temple is almost 26 kms away from the town of Dhenkanal. This temple is surrounded by other holy and natural shrines. The visitors who wish to pay homage to the deity of Lord Shiva have to climb a flight of 1352 steps. The upper part of the hill “Sita Anturdisala “.During the festive occasion of Shivratri the idol of Shiva is specially decorated with gold ornaments. The temples, which are worth visiting other than Kapilash on the same hilltop are the temples of Raghunath, Saptarshi, Narayana and Viswanath. This temple mis known to be one of the main attractions of the town of Dhenkanal

Konark Temple

Konark TempleThe glorious architecture work not only in odisha but all so in the world is known as Konark Temple or Sun Temple . The poet Rabindranath Tagore said that of Konark 'here the language of stone surpasses the language of man', and it is true that the experience of Konark is impossible to translate into words.

The Konark Temple built by king Narasimhadeva In the 12th century , the entire temple was designed in the shape of a colossal chariot, carrying the sun god, Surya, across the heavens . Its height, however, exceeded both of them, soaring to 227 feet. The jagmohana (porch) structure itself exceeded 120 feet in height. Both tower and porch are built on high platforms, around which are the 24 giant stone wheels of the chariot.

The Konark is 66 kilometres by all-weather road via Pipli from Bhubaneswar, the Capital City of Orissa; and 84 kilometres from Puri, the district head quarters, also via Pipli.

The exuberant Rath Yatra festival sees Lord Jagannath, along with his elder brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra, venture out of their abode in the Jagannath temple. The three of them travel to their aunt's Gundicha Temple a short distance away, where they remain for seven days before returning. The Rath Yatra festival is the only occasion when non-Hindu devotees, who aren't allowed inside the temple, can get their glimpse of the deities. A mere glimpse of Lord Jagannath on the chariot, or even to touch the chariot, is considered to be very auspicious.

Debkund

Debkund where nature nestles within folds of hills is particularly important for being a great ''Peethha'' of Goddess Ambika. An estimated three lakh visitors throng Debkund each year during various fairs and festivals to enjoy nature in its pristine glories.It is 90 km from Lulung, 69 km from Kuldiha and 87 km from Balasore. From Balasore there are regular bus services to Udala (59 km).

Neither the STR authorities nor the State Tourism Department had so far provided any facility for the visitors, not even a good road. But it's neutrality attracts more visitor in every years.
